The Kozzy Interview
Kozzy: Atlanta's Young Star Leading with Heart, Hustle, and Authenticity
Meet Kozzy, a rising teenage artist making waves out of Atlanta with a message grounded in staying true to yourself. Born in Miami, Florida, on July 20, 2008, Kozzy made the move to Atlanta in the fifth grade—and it’s there that his story in music truly began.
Kozzy got into music thanks to the influence of his neighborhood brothers and school friends—Baby Marq, 10, and 30. What started as casual rap sessions at Marq’s house quickly evolved into something more. With time and a growing passion, Kozzy found himself collaborating with Nosferatu and committing to the grind more seriously.
Influenced by icons like Eminem, Future, and Lil Wayne, Kozzy also draws motivation from local heavy-hitters like Gdot Savage, Hunxho, and more recently, Hurricane Wisdom. But despite his impressive influences, Kozzy stands out for his core belief: you don’t have to fake an image to make it. He’s on a mission to prove that you can profit from your art without compromising who you are.
Recently, Kozzy’s name has been catching more ears. He appeared on Raud’s “Song Wars” featuring Brooklyn Frost, where he came out on top against his opponent. Raud even reacted to Kozzy’s tracks “Ko” and “Doublecupbaby”, both of which are available now on all streaming platforms.
On March 21st, Kozzy dropped his 17-track album “Pastpimpimn”, a bold and personal project that gives fans a deeper look into his sound, story, and soul. And he’s not slowing down—new visuals are on the way from the album, and another project is in the works, with potential features from Xlovclo, Hurricane Wisdom, and Ffawty.
At just 16 years old, Kozzy is proving he's not only next up—he’s here to stay. With passion in every verse and a message that hits deeper than the music, Kozzy is building something real. Stay tapped in.
